Enhancing user interaction for seamless product exploration

ThermoFisher Scientific's existing product selector tool was limiting engagement, making it difficult for users to explore a catalog of over 900 products. They needed a solution that would guide users intuitively through product selection while maintaining global design standards. The challenge was to balance ease of use with the complexity of scientific data.

The Solution

Intuitive design that simplifies complexity

Our design team worked closely with ThermoFisher Scientific to revamp the Stain-iT™ tool, creating a visually engaging and user-friendly platform that made product exploration easier and more impactful. 

  1. Dynamic, Data-Driven Interaction:
Inspired by ThermoFisher Scientific's SpectraViewer tool, we designed a dual-screen interface that allowed users to simulate product use in real time. This interactive experience enabled users to make well-informed decisions by exploring live data directly within the tool. 
  2. Optimized for Comfort and Usability:
We introduced a dark mode interface tailored to the needs of users in low-light laboratory environments. This feature enhanced readability and reduced eye strain, creating a more comfortable user experience during extended sessions. 
  3. Streamlined User Flow:
Our team re-engineered the user journey, integrating personalized recommendations and simplifying navigation through complex datasets. The new flow allowed users to move from product selection to decision-making more efficiently, with a focus on clarity and ease.
